The illustrator Michael Hill needed to showcase his work to both the UK and USA markets. An online portfolio was the obvious answer, and was made more interesting by animating an original drawing for the front page.

Since this site went live back in 2001, it has undergone several updates, both in content and site code, in order to keep it fresh in design and accessible to users.
